Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for Upper River Tamar

This Flood Alert remains in force. River levels are rising following the heavy and prolonged rainfall during the daytime of Saturday 26th November. Further rain is forecast for this evening, which is expected to clear the area from around 10pm. As catchments are wet, rivers will respond to this rainfall and levels are expected to remain high throughout the night and into Sunday morning. Flooding is possible to low lying land and roads close to the river although no flooding to properties is currently forecast. Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. We are monitoring river levels and have staff in the area checking for and clearing blockages. This message will be updated by 11am on Sunday 27th November or earlier if the situation changes.
