Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for Upper River Tamar

Flooding is possible on Thursday 22nd February. Rivers remain high following recent rainfall, and as rain continues throughout Thursday, a further rise in river levels is expected.

The risk of flooding to low lying areas close to the river will continue throughout Thursday.

River levels are expected to reduce overnight into Friday, however further rain is forecast over the next few days.

Take care near areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions. We are monitoring river levels and have staff in the area clearing blockages.  

This message will be updated by 5pm on Thursday the 22nd of February, or earlier if the situation changes.

Flood alert area: Bude, Helebridge, Bridgerule, Canworthy Water, Launceston and Yeolmbridge.
