Flood alert for South Cornwall Coast from Lands End to Lizard Point

High tides tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of the morning high tide on Tuesday 27th 2026. 

Areas particularly at risk include Mousehole, Newlyn, Penzance, Longrock, Marazion, Praa Sands and Porthleven harbour. The high tide at Newlyn on Tuesday is at 10:33, times of high water will vary along the coast. Forecast total high tide level is 1.64mAOD. Expect tide levels along the coast to be between 0.8 and 0.9 metres above tide table level. Strong Force 8 South Westerly winds and offshore wave heights of around 7.5m are forecast over the high tide.

Coastal conditions should ease for Tuesday evening's high tide. 

We are closely monitoring the situation . 

Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded .
