Flooding is expected on Sunday 24th November.
Heavy rain falling in the area will continue throughout Sunday. This has caused the River Tamar to rise and the river is forecast to remain high throughout Sunday afternoon.
Properties and low lying areas around Bradstone Mill, Tutwell, Gunnislake, Morwellham Power Station and Cotehele are at risk of flooding. River levels will be at their highest at around 2pm and will remain high into Sunday evening.
Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing, take care near areas of concern, and avoid walking or driving through floodwater. Monitor your local weather conditions and check river levels on gov.uk.
We will be closely monitoring the situation, and this message will be updated by 10pm on Sunday or earlier as the situation changes.
