Flood alert for Rivers Clyst and Culm and their tributaries

Flooding is possible throughout Wednesday overnight and into Thursday. Further rain is expected on Thursday.

Over the past few days, we have seen heavy rainfall in the East Devon Area.

River levels will remain high and further rain forecast for Thursday is likely to cause river levels to rise again. Possible flood warnings may be required.

The main areas of concern are Cullompton, Willand, Culmstock, Hemyock, Bradninch, Broadclyst and Clyst St Mary. River levels suggest that there will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to rivers.
