High river levels today may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible on 22 January 2026 . 

Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers.

Over the last 24 hours we have seen heavy rainfall in the area.

Forecast levels may cause flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river on Thursday. The main areas of concern are Exebridge, Bolham, Bampton and Tiverton.

We expect the river to remain high throughout the day though no flooding to properties is currently forecast. 

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels . 

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water .

Flood alert area: Middle River Exe from Exebridge to Tiverton and the Rivers Haddeo, Batherm and Lowman.
