Flood alert for South Devon Rivers

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Flooding is possible this evening, Friday 18 April, and overnight. Over the last 24 hours we have seen heavy rainfall in the South Devon Area, and river levels are now rising. There may be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the river. We expect the river to remain high into tomorrow morning but start to recede into the afternoon. Take care near the areas of concern and check your local weather conditions. We are constantly monitoring river levels. This message will be updated Saturday afternoon.

Flood alert area: the Rivers Avon, Erme and Harbourne, coastal streams from Bigbury to Dartmouth, and Kingsbridge, South Brent and Ivybridge areas.
