Over the last 24 hours we have seen heavy rainfall in the area. Rivers have risen overnight and although levels are now falling slowly we expect the rivers to remain high throughout today.
There will be flooding to low lying land and roads close to the rivers. Take care near the areas of concern and monitor your local weather conditions.
We are constantly monitoring river levels and have staff in the area checking for and clearing blockages in this location. This message will be updated on Tuesday morning or earlier if the situation changes.
Flood alert area: Rivers Axe, Coly, Yarty, Umborne Brook and coastal streams from Branscombe to Axmouth.
