Flooding is expected during the early hours of Sunday morning, 24th November.

Heavy rain has been falling in the East Devon area throughout Saturday and will continue throughout Sunday morning. This is causing the River Axe to rise. Property flooding is expected at Chard Junction, Axe Farm, Coaxdon and Weycroft Cottages, Mosterton, Clapton, Tytherleigh and Broom, Axminster (Stoneybridge). Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. People in this area should consider taking action now and install any property flood resilience measures. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings. We will be closely monitoring the situation, and this message will be updated by 12pm on Sunday or earlier if the situation changes.
