Flood warning for River Dart from Buckfastleigh to Totnes, including Staverton

Flooding is expected throughout Sunday 24th November.

Heavy rain falling in the South Devon area will continue during Sunday. This is causing the River Dart to rise and flooding is expected.

Properties and low lying areas around Riverside and Netherton Cottages, Staverton Bridge and Town Mills areas of Staverton, will start to flood first.

Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.

We will be closely monitoring the situation, and this message will be updated if the situation changes.
