Water levels are falling but remain high on the Rivers Yeo and Parrett and surrounding moors.
Low lying land and roads are expected to be most affected by flooding. Flooding will affect the road from Langport to Muchelney if the drain level at Huish Episcopi pumping station exceeds 7.3 m, but this is not expected.
For the latest river and drain levels refer to https://check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk/river-and-sea-levels.
The Parrett Relief Channel is running and pumping operations have commenced. We will continue pumping as river levels and tides allow. The weather remains unsettled, with showers possible.
We are closely monitoring the situation.
Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded.
