The river level at Huish Episcopi is currently 8.43m and falling. The drain level at Huish Episcopi is 8.51m and stable. Flooding will affect the Langport to Muchelney road if this drain level exceeds 7.3m, the Muchelney to Long Load road above 7.86m, the Muchelney to Thorney road above 7.93m and the Muchelney to Draycott road above 8.8m. Property flooding is possible above 8.35m.

Pumping will start at Huish Episcopi and Westover stations once river levels allow. The Parrett Relief Channel has been opened. Rainfall today will clear later this afternoon, and it will remain dry until another band of rain arrives early Monday evening, continuing to Tuesday afternoon.

We are monitoring the situation closely. Staff are checking the condition of flood banks and spillways. Avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
