Forecast rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 05 February 2026 .
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Isle, River Parrett , with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around roads at Ashford Mill, Isle Brewers, Fivehead, the Norton sub Hambdon to Stratton road, the A356 and the B3165 at Chiselborough and the B3168 at Ilford Bridges. The lower River Parrett is forecast to be bankfull and overtopping could occur. Bands of rain, heavy at times, are forecast overnight, Thursday 5th February, and into tomorrow. Catchments are saturated and rivers are expected to be very responsive to the forecasted rainfall.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
