Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

The area at most risk is low lying land and roads near Sherborne Lake as levels in the lake remain high but are now starting to fall. Levels in the River Wriggle and the River Cam have now fallen below levels of concern.

The forecast is for a drier day on Friday, 19 December 2025. We continue to closely monitor the situation and are clearing blockages from debris screens.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Take care and avoid walking, cycling and driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 20 December 2025, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: River Yeo from Sherborne to Yeovil, River Wriggle, Barwick Stream, West Coker Stream and the River Cam.
