Flooding is possible today, Saturday 06/12/2025, and may continue into Sunday. The River Tone at Currymoor Pumping Station has risen overnight. Flooding will affect Currymoor and Haymoor areas, potentially including Cutts Road and New Road. The River Tone level at Currymoor pumping station is 7.52m and stable. Water enters Currymoor via Hookbridge spillway if this level exceeds 7.45m. The drain level at Currymoor pumping station is 4.85 m and is rising. Cutts Road floods when this level is above 5.75m, and New Road floods when the level is above 6.18m. We are unable to pump while the Tone is bankfull. Today will see showers, followed by a moderate band of rain early on Sunday. A large band of heavy persistent rain is forecast for Tuesday, which will cause further flooding impacts. We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. We will resume pumping when river levels allow. Take care and avoid driving through flood water.
