Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Rising river levels this morning may lead to flooding. Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible on Sunday 24/11/2024.

Areas most at risk include the Ilchester to Yeovilton road at the end of the runway, the Mudford to Limington road and the road at the south end of Westover Trading Estate. Properties at Westover Trading Estate at Langport are at risk. Bankfull conditions are forecast at Ilchester and water will reach the bottom of the ringbanks at Ilchester Meads and Ilchester.

Further flooding is possible this morning as river levels are high and forecast to rise further due to heavy rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation.

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions, and avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Don't put yourself or others at risk.

This message will be updated by 6:00 PM on 24/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
