River levels are rising in response to rainfall this morning. Further rainfall is forecast for the rest of today and tonight, before dry conditions are forecast tomorrow. This flood alert will remain out as rivers are expected to rise in response to the rainfall. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Tone, Hillfarrance Brook, Halsewater Stream, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around roads around Hillfarrance, Bradford on Tone, Lane End Road at Ham and the Creech St Michael to Henlade road. Bradford on Tone ringbanks will be bankfull.

We are closely monitoring rainfall and river levels. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 02:00 PM on 16/12/2025, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: River Tone from Clatworthy Reservoir to Currymoor, the Hillfarrance Brook, the Halsewater Stream and other tributaries in the River Tone catchment.
