Flood warning for River Brue and Glastonbury Millstream from Lovington to Highbridge, low lying properties

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning. Flooding is expected from 6:00AM on 24/02/2025.

Areas most at risk include roads in Catsham, Cowbridge and West Lydford and the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road. Properties on Dyehouse Lane, Glastonbury at risk from the Glastonbury Millstream and overtopping forecast at Baltonsborough.

Further rainfall is anticipated to fall until 10:00AM today. The forecast is then for drier conditions.

Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.

We are closely monitoring the situation and checking rivers for blockages.

Activate any property flood protection products you may have.

Move family, pets and cars to safety and turn off gas, electricity and water if it is safe to do so.

Flood warning area: Tootle Bridge, Catsham, Church Moor at Baltonsborough, Street Drove, the B3151 Glastonbury to Meare road, Westhay Bridge and Tadham Moor.
