Flood warning for River Biss upstream and downstream of Trowbridge

River levels are rising and peaking on the River Biss due to heavy rainfall over the week and flooding is expected from midnight on tonight through until tomorrow morning.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Biss, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Yarnbrook and the Lady Down Mill area downstream of Trowbridge.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and clearing debris from weed screens.

Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.

Monitor local water levels and weather conditions.

Flood warning area: Hawkeridge, Dursley, Yarnbrook, Biss Meadows Country Park and downstream of Trowbridge at Trowle Bridge and Bradford Road.
