Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this evening from about 10:00 PM

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Bristol Avon, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around properties at Melksham and Limpley Stoke.

Further flooding is expected overnight as river levels are rising due to rainfall.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and checking rivers for blockages.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.
