Flood warning for Bristol Avon (upper) from Malmesbury to Chippenham

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this afternoon.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Bristol Avon, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Reybridge and Seagry; the Kellaways area.

Further flooding is expected this afternoon as river levels are rising and expected to peak around 6:00 AM on Monday morning.

We are closely monitoring the situation and checking rivers for blockages.

Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses.

Flood warning area: Bristol Avon and tributaries from downstream of Malmesbury to Chippenham including Cow Bridge, Hullavington, Corston, Rodbourne, Kingsmead Mill, Great Somerford, Lower Seagry, Christian Malford, Sutton Benger, Kellaways, East Tytherton and Stanley.
