Flood alert for Dorset coast at Poole Harbour

High tides over the next two days may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible from 7:30PM to 11:30PM on 05 December 2025. 

Locations most affected will be coastal roads and footpaths. Areas most at risk include Poole Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Frome and River Piddle. The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it is for a peak level at Poole Harbour. The first forecast high water of 1.38 mAODN is at 9:30PM on 05 December 2025, which is 0.48 m above tide tables, with Westerly force 5 winds. The second forecast high water is at 9:45AM on 06 December 2025 with a level of 1.39 mAODN and Westerly force 6 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.) 

We are closely monitoring the situation . 

Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded and consider activating any flood protection products you may have.
