High tides, strong winds and large waves tomorrow morning may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible from 8:00AM to 12:00PM on Tuesday 20th January 2026. 

Areas most at risk include Christchurch Harbour and tidal stretches of the Lower Stour and Avon. The detailed tidal forecast for those who use it, is for a peak level at Christchurch Harbour of 1.33mAODN at 10:07AM on 20 January 2026, with South Easterly force 6 winds. (mAODN is height above average sea level.) Flooding is possible 2 hours either side of high tide. 

We are closely monitoring the situation . 

Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.
