Flood alert for Weymouth Rivers and Streams

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

This is a flood alert update. River levels have begun to plateau but continue to remain high at the Broadwey river gauge. Flooding could still affect locations near the River Wey to Radipole Lake, Preston Brook and River Jordan, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected. We will see a drier spell for the next few days until Thursday the 26th February when further rain is currently forecast. We are closely monitoring the situation. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 24 February 2026 or as the situation changes

Flood alert area: The River Wey to Radipole Lake, Preston Brook and River Jordan.
