Flood alert for Weymouth Rivers and Streams

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Flooding is possible as the River Wey, and its streams are forecast to rise, due to prolonged, heavy rain.

We anticipate river overtopping and flooding of nearby land, roads and buildings in the Wey Valley areas.

Flood risk will be elevated between 6:00 PM on 23/11/2024, and 2:00 PM on 24/11/2024.

More rain is forecast in the coming hours, so there is a risk of further flooding, and more land

and properties becoming at risk.

We are closely monitoring the situation.

Prepare now to keep you, precious items, and your property safe. Install flood protection, gather

emergency supplies, pack a bag containing essentials and look out for further warnings.

This message will be updated by 2:00 PM on 24/11/2024, or if the situation changes.

Flood alert area: The River Wey to Radipole Lake, Preston Brook and River Jordan.
