Rising river levels overnight may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible on 16 January 2026 .
Flooding is possible in locations near the Upper Dorset Stour, Shreen Water tributaries between Gillingham and Sturminster Newton. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Further rain showers are forecast for today and this evening, but expected to ease off through the weekend.
We are checking rivers for blockages and monitoring rainfall and river levels.
Consider activating any flood protection products you may have . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
