This is a Flood Alert Update. River levels remain high at the Hammoon river gauge. Flooding could still affect locations near the near the Middle Dorset Stour tributaries between Sturminster Newton and Wimborne. Locations most affected will be low lying land and roads near rivers. Further light rainfall is forecast today and tomorrow which will keep river levels high. We are closely monitoring the situation . Please do not drive through floodwater as bow waves may affect adjacent properties and avoid using low lying footpaths and bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 4pm on 01 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
