Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for River Piddle and tributaries

River levels remain high but are beginning to fall on the River Piddle due to raised groundwater levels. No property flooding is expected. No further rainfall is forecast. No further flooding to fields and roads is expected, however there may be standing water seen for several days. We will continue to monitor the forecast and re-issue this alert if necessary. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00 AM on 06/02/2023, or as the situation changes.
