Flood alert for Upper Frome and tributaries

River levels are rising as a result of the ground being saturated and reacting to rainfall overnight. We believe there is a possibility of flooding for the Upper River Frome in Dorset and the tributaries. River levels can rise very quickly in response to heavy rainfall and we are closely monitoring the situation.

Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water. People in this area should take action now. We urge all people to take care and not drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 12:00 noon on 25/02/2025, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: Tributaries between Toller Whelme and Dorchester.
