High tides, strong winds and large waves this evening may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible from 04:15pm to 08:15pm on 24/10/2026.
Areas most at risk include Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogden Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and particularly at Chiswell. Force 8 South Westerly winds may cause large waves at Chiswell.
We are closely monitoring the situation .
Exposed coastal areas may be hazardous due to strong winds and large waves. Avoid coastal roads, footpaths and carparks, which may be flooded.
This message will be updated by 1:00PM on Sunday 25 October or as the situation changes.
