This Flood Alert is being issued due to the strong force 8 south-westerly winds forecast. Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected.

Flooding is possible between 10:00 PM on 23/11/2024 and 1:30 PM on 24/11/2024.

Areas most at risk include Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Seatown, West Bay, Bothenhampton, Burton Freshwater, Burton Bradstock, Cogden Beach, Chesil Beach, West Fleet, East Fleet and Chiswell.

After the high tide tomorrow morning‚ the weather is more settled and no flooding is expected.

We are closely monitoring the situation.

Be careful along beaches, promenades, coastal footpaths and roads as large waves and sea spray could be dangerous.

This message will be updated by 3:00 PM on 24/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
