High groundwater levels are expected to cause flooding.
Flooding is expected from 2 February 2026 onwards.
Groundwater levels in Salisbury Plain remain high. Areas that could be affected include: Hindon. The groundwater level at the Terraces borehole has risen to 118.61m, and is expected to continue to rise throughout this week. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts. Roads may be impassable due to flood water, do not drive through floodwater.
