Rising groundwater levels are expected to cause to flooding.

Flooding is expected from 11:00 AM on 02/12/2024.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Nadder and tributaries, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the Dene including Hindon, Fonthill Bishop, Fonthill Gifford and Chicklade.

The forecast is for light rainfall to move in from Wednesday to Friday. This means that groundwater levels will are likely to remain high over the next 5-7 days.

Up to date groundwater levels for the area can be seen at Terraces, Musseldean Copse groundwater monitoring site which can be accessed at check-for-flooding.service.gov.uk

If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts.

It may be necessary to hire portable facilities due to impacts on sewage system.
