High groundwater levels are expected to continue to cause flooding. The groundwater level at the Delcombe Wood borehole remains high at 136.78m above sea level. Flooding is expected for: Turnworth, Winterborne Stickland, Winterborne Houghton, Clenston, Whatcombe and Whitechurch. Levels are starting to fall steadily. Some rainfall is forecast later this week and groundwater levels remain reactive. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts. Roads may be impassable due to flood water, do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:30AM on 16th March 2026 or as the situation changes.
