Flood warning in force: Groundwater flooding for the North Winterborne, north of the A354 Flooding is expected for: Groundwater flooding for Turnworth, Winterborne Stickland, Winterborne Houghton, Clenston, Whatcombe and Whitechurch. High groundwater levels are expected to continue to cause flooding. Flooding is expected from 9 February 2026 onwards. The groundwater level at the Delcombe Wood borehole remains high at 142.66m above sea level, and is expected to remain high due to continued prolonged rainfall. We are closely monitoring the situation. If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts. Roads may be impassable due to flood water, do not drive through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:30AM on 16 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
