Flood warning for Groundwater flooding for the North Winterborne, north of the A354

High groundwater levels are expected to cause flooding. 

Flooding is expected from 26 January 2026 onwards. 

The groundwater level at the Delcombe Wood borehole has risen to 136.535m above sea level and will continue to rise into the early part of next week. Heavy rain is forecast later today and overnight, 26 January 2026. 

We are closely monitoring the situation  

If you have a pump, make sure it is working and switched on. Think about alternative power sources in case of power cuts
