Flood warning for Rivers Stour and Iwerne at Stourpaine

Rising river levels are causing flooding throughout the afternoon.

Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Middle Dorset Stour. River Iwerne, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around Havelins and the SPFA sports pavilion areas in Stourpaine.

Further flooding is expected this afternoon and into the evening as river levels are rising due to heavy rainfall last night.

We are monitoring rainfall and river levels. Start acting on your flood plan if you have one. Activate any property flood protection products you may have. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions. Refer to local authority website for road closures. Don't put yourself or others at risk.
