Flood warning for Lower Frome from East Stoke to Wareham

This is an update to the current Flood Warning. River levels remain high at Stinsford river gauge due to recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding is expected, and locations most at risk include areas in East Stoke, Holmebridge, Stoborough, Stoborough Green, Wareham, Redcliffe, Ridge and Swineham. Further rainfall is expected throughout this evening and over the next few days, which may cause further river level rise. We are closely monitoring the situation. Continue using any flood protection products you may have and acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 12 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
