River levels are high and rising at the Stinsford river gauge on the Lower Frome due to the heavy overnight rainfall. High groundwater levels are adding to the river levels and we expect flooding to continue to affect areas in East Stoke, Holmebridge, Stoborough, Stoborough Green, Wareham, Redcliffe, Ridge and Swineham. The weather outlook remains unsettled and further showers are forecast tonight. River levels can rise quickly in response to rainfall and we are closely monitoring the situation.
Please avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses and see the GOV.UK website for a 5 day flood forecast. This message will be updated by 11.00 AM on 26/02/2025, or as the situation changes.
