Flood warning for River Bride from Long Bredy to Burton Bradstock

Rising river levels are expected to cause flooding this morning. 

Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 from 2:15 am after heavy overnight rain. 

Areas most at risk include Bridelands and Lower Farm in Long Bredy, Bride Valley Nursery in Litton Cheney and Water Lane Fish Farm in Swyre. Heavy rain is expected to continue through the rest of Tuesday 27 January. 

We are closely monitoring the situation .
