Flood warning for Middle Hampshire Avon from Salisbury to Ringwood

This is a Flood Warning Update. River levels remain high due to recent rainfall and high groundwater levels. Flooding is still possible. Areas most at risk include areas in Britford, Charlton All Saints, Downton and Fordingbridge in close proximity to the River Avon. Further rainfall is expected throughout this evening and over the next few days, and rivers may react and rise further. We are closely monitoring the situation. Continue using any flood protection products you may have and acting on your flood plan if you have one. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. This message will be updated by 4:00PM on 10 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
Flood warning area: South of the A36 at Salisbury to Blashford in Ringwood including Charlton All Saints, Breamore, Fordingbridge and Bickton.
