Flood warning for Lower Avon from Ringwood to Christchurch

Flooding is still possible and areas most at risk include Bickerley, Ringwood and the B3347 from Christchurch to Stony Lane in Christchurch. River levels remain very high following the recent rainfall and the high groundwater. Rain is forecast today through to tomorrow morning which may cause a rise in levels over the coming days. We will continue to monitor the situation. Please continue to use any flood protection products you may have. Please avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses, and do not attempt to walk, cycle or drive through flood water. Never drive through flood water, just 30cm of fast flowing water is enough to move your car. Check local authority websites for road closures. This message will be updated by 11:00AM on 19 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
