Flood alert for Groundwater flooding in the Salisbury Plain area
Get flood warnings by phone, text or email
Groundwater levels are remaining high due to previous rainfall. Areas at risk include areas around the Till and the Wylye Valley. Flooding of roads and fields is possible. There is no rainfall predicted for the next 2 days with small totals possible from Thursday 6th March into the weekend. We are not currently expecting very much drop in the groundwater levels. Where groundwater is near the surface, intense rainfall will lead to surface water flooding. Residents are advised to prepare property resilience measures and ensure that pumps are working where they have been installed. We will continue to monitor the situation closely. This message will be updated by 12:00 PM on 11/03/2025, or as the situation changes.
