The Powdermill Stream in Crowhurst is higher than normal, but now falling, following Wednesday's rain. Minor flood impacts affecting gardens of riverside properties, Crowhurst Recreation Ground, roads, and fields should slowly ease through Thursday. In Bulverhythe the Combe Haven is still slowly rising, but is not expected to rise significantly higher. Minor flooding could affect Bexhill Road Recreation Ground, and gardens that back onto the recreation ground, or near the Combe Haven during Thursday and Friday. Only isolated showers are forecast Thursday afternoon, Friday, and over the weekend. River levels should begin to fall in Bulverhythe by 16:00 19/02/2026, but the fall will be slow and levels will remain higher than normal next week. In Crowhurst river levels should return nearer to a normal level by Friday afternoon. Unsettled weather could continue throughout February, with further periods of flood risk possible.
