The River Adur is higher than normal, but currently falling, following Friday's rain. Light rain is forecast for much of Sunday. River levels are expected to rise again, but not as high as recent significant events. Only minor flood impacts are expected to affect fields, roads, and gardens. River levels are likely to be higher than normal through to Monday. More rain is forecast Monday evening and through Tuesday, which will cause the river to rise again. Further flooding could be possible, particularly Tuesday. Don't put yourself or others at risk. Avoid roads that flood, including the A281 at Mock Bridge. This message will be updated by 17:00 02/02/2026.
