Get flood warnings by phone, text or email
Between 15-30mm of rain is forecast through the early hours of Wednesday 27/11/24. There remains uncertainty, but if as much rain falls as predicted, flooding could be possible. From 09:00 on 27/11/2024, flooding could affect the A281 at Mock Bridge, near Shermanbury. As well as extensive water in fields, flooding could also affect gardens of properties near Mock Bridge, and may begin to approach buildings too. Almost no rainfall is predicted Wednesday afternoon, through to the weekend. The river should begin to fall by 01:00 on 28/11/2024, and should return to normal from 15:00 on 28/11/2024. It is thought river levels could end up a little higher than following Storm Bert. Some roads, including the A281 at Mock Bridge, may become impassable. Please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 17:00 on 27/11/2024
Flood alert area: The River Adur and tributaries from Burgess Hill to Henfield.
