High river levels on Wednesday may lead to flooding. 

Flooding is possible on 28 January 2026 from 11:00 as a lot of rain is forecast (35mm). 

Flooding could affect the A29, properties on Lower Street and Swan Corner, Pulborough and Bridge Cottages, Greatham. Over high tide (06:00 and 19:00) on 28/01/2026 water will be high up banks near Houghton Bridge, Amberley, near St Edmunds Cottage, Houghton, and affect Queen Street riverside properties, and Mill Road car park, Arundel. A similar event to 21/01/2026. Only isolated showers are forecast from Wednesday. River levels and flood risk should begin to reduce in Pulborough by 13:00 on 29/01/2026. 

We are closely monitoring the situation and our pumps in Pulborough are running to help reduce flood risk. 

Consider activating any flood protection products you may have and install flood protection products in Pulborough, Amberley and Arundel.
