Between 15 and 30mm of rain is forecast through the early hours of Wednesday 27/11/2024. There is uncertainty, but if as much rain falls as predicted, flooding could be possible. From 08:00 on 27/11/2024 flooding could affect fields, rural roads, and gardens along the length of the River Lox, approach properties near Brewhurst Mill on Brewhurst Lane and the Onslow Arms, Loxwood, and isolated riverside properties at Loxley Bridge on Wrotham Hill, Dunsfold. Flood water may also affect riverside properties on Petworth Road, Chiddingfold. Rain could be intense, minor surface water flooding could affect some riverside locations in Loxwood village. Almost no rainfall is predicted for Wednesday afternoon, through to the weekend. The river should begin to fall by 02:00 on 28/11/2024, and should return to normal by Friday. River levels could end up a little higher than following Storm Bert. Please continue to operate private water control structures at Brewhurst to reduce the risk of flooding. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will update this message by 16:00 on 27/11/2024.
