The Western Rother is high in Fittleworth, and higher than normal at Lodsbridge, near Selham. However, the Western Rother is now falling along its length. Minor flood impacts affecting fields, rural roads and gardens of mill properties at Lodsbridge, near Selham and in Fittleworth should continue to slowly ease through Thursday. River levels between Liss and Midhurst are already near normal. A few scattered showers are possible Thursday, but very little rain is forecast for the rest of the week and through the weekend. The river will continue to slowly fall. At Lodsbridge, near Selham, the river should return nearer to a normal level by Friday morning (11/10/2024). In Fittleworth, the river is unlikely to return nearer to a normal level until next week. Residual flood impacts may continue to affect some roads, including the A281 at Mock Bridge. Please plan to avoid driving through routes vulnerable to flooding. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. We will re-issue this Flood Alert if property flooding is possible.
