High tides on Wednesday may lead to flooding.
Flooding is possible for 2 hours either side of Wednesday's morning and afternoon tides at 00:45 and 13:00 on 21/01/2026.
The weather increases tide table values by 0.25 m. Total forecast tide is 5.92 metres Chart Datum at 00:45 and 5.98 at 13:00 (2.87 and 2.93 mAOD) at Littlehampton. Strong South Westerly Force 5 wind. The condition of the shingle beach was affected by Storm Goretti in early January 2026. Waves could cause overtopping of the beach, affecting Climping Street Car Park. A small amount of water may then flow or be directed westwards along Mill Lane towards residential property in Climping Street. Thursday's tide at 01:15 22/01/2026 is forecast to be higher (3.00 mAOD), but with smaller waves.
