Get flood warnings by phone, text or email
The River Arun is high, but slowly falling in Pulborough, following this week's rain. Flood impacts will continue to affect properties on Lower Street and Swan Corner, Pulborough, and near to Swan Bridge and Bridge Cottages, Greatham. Water will be extensive through fields, gardens and the A29 at Pulborough. A small amount of rain is forecast on Friday morning, which should not increase flood risk significantly. River levels will continue to fall. Only an isolated shower is forecast Friday afternoon through to Monday, which, over the weekend, should allow river levels to fall. Flood risk and flood impacts should reduce a little by Saturday evening. However, river levels are unlikely to return near to a normal level until later next week. Currently rain is forecast on Tuesday, which could increase flood risk again. We are closely monitoring the situation. Activate any flood protection products you may have and avoid roads that flood (A29). Keep flood protection installed in Pulborough. This message will be updated by 14:00 on 24/01/2026.
