Flood warning for Brockenhurst and Boldre on the River Lymington

High river levels are expected to cause flooding today. 

Flooding is expected on 27 January 2026 , as a lot of rain (37mm) fell overnight.  

Flooding is affecting roads and watersplash areas (Brookley Road) and riverside property at Martin's Road and Balmer Lawn. Property flooding could also occur at Meerut Road, Fathersfield and Butts Lawn. Property and outbuildings at Boldre and Pilley Hill may also experience impacts. River levels and flood risk will remain high for the remainder of the day. 

We are closing flood gates and will be on site to operate Lymington Toll Bridge flood gate if required 

Avoid low lying roads near rivers, which may be flooded .
