Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

High river levels are expected to cause flooding on Wednesday.

Flooding is expected on 18 February 2026 because of the combination of rain and high tide.

High tide is forecast at 23:15 17/02/2026 and 01:30 18/02/2026. The water level is expected to be 4.77 metres Chart Datum (2.02 mAOD). Flooding may affect the access road and car parking areas near the White Swan Pub and car garage at Mansbridge. Parts of Riverside Park will also be flooded. The next high tide, at 11:30 18/02/2026, will be similar. Tomorrow 18/02/2026, up to 25mm of rain is forecast in Hampshire. If this affects the river, then flood risk and impacts will increase. Some water may be forced up through the floor of the pub. Flood risk will remain elevated throughout this week.

We are checking rivers for blockages and liaising with Southampton City Council on the operation of Woodmill.

Activate any flood protection products you may have including defences around the White Swan Pub.

This message will be updated by 7:00PM on 18 February 2026 or as the situation changes.
