Flood alert for River Teise area from Lamberhurst to Goudhurst

Heavy rainfall is forecast overnight and into Wednesday morning, 27 November. River levels are expected to rise quickly on Wednesday morning. Flooding is likely to continue throughout the day. Areas most at risk include low lying land and roads along the River Teise particularly in Lamberhurst. River levels are currently expected to peak in Lamberhurst at around 10am on Wednesday morning.

We are closely monitoring the situation and are checking rivers for blockages. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions and be prepared for further warnings. This message will be updated by 2pm on Wednesday 27 November, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: River Teise area from Lamberhurst to Goudhurst, including the River Bewl and tributaries of the River Teise.
