Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for River Mole and its tributaries from Kinnersley Manor to South Hersham

River levels remain high on the River Mole following the heavy rain experienced earlier this week. Flooding of roads and low lying land is ongoing, between Leatherhead and Cobham where levels are now beginning to fall, Friday 22 October. We expect flooding to continue to affect land and roads, particularly those nearest the river. Even once the river level drops, some standing flood water may remain. Further showers are forecast over the next 5 days, though no significant rainfall is expected. River levels will remain high into Saturday though the flooding situation is improving. We continue to monitor the situation. Our incident response staff have been working to manage river levels. This message will be updated by 10am Saturday 23 October 2021.
