Flooding of roads and low lying land is possible, property flooding is not expected. River levels are rising this morning in response to rainfall overnight. Flooding is possible from 8am this morning, Monday, 25/11/2024 and is expected to continue until this evening. Areas most at risk include low lying land and roads close to the rivers, particularly on and around Lingfield and towards Edenbrdge. Weather conditions are expected to improve this morning and are going to remain largely dry until Wednesday, 27/11/2024 when further rainfall is possible. We are monitoring local water levels and are ready to respond, if required. Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. This message will be updated by 4pm this afternoon, 25/11/2024, or as the situation changes.
Flood alert area: Rivers Eden, Eden Brook and Kent Ditch from Blindley Heath to Penshurst including Edenbridge and Hever.
