High river levels today may lead to flooding.

Flooding is possible on 13 February 2026 and into 14 February 2026.

Flooding of low lying land and roads is expected to continue, especially in the Alton area. Further showers are forecast later today and this evening. River levels are falling but remain responsive to further rainfall. Tomorrow will be dry, but icy conditions are expected as the temperature drops.

We are closely monitoring the situation.

Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.

Flood alert area: Upper River Wey including Alton, Farnham, Bordon, Frensham, Tilford, Godalming, Guildford and Peasmarsh.
