Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for River Blackwater and The Cove Brook

"Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are steady on the River Blackwater as a result of recent heavy rainfall. Therefore, flooding of low lying land is expected to continue, especially in the Swallowfield area. No further heavy rainfall is forecast for the next few days, only lighter showers, therefore we expect river levels to continue to fall. We will continue to closely monitor the situation. Please remain safe and aware of your local surroundings and avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow morning 23/10/21, or if the situation changes
