Flooding is possible - be prepared

Flood alert for Tributaries on the Upper River Thames above Cricklade

Get flood warnings by phone, text or email

Property flooding is not currently expected. River levels are rising on the Swill Brook and River Key as a result of Storm Bert. Therefore, flooding of low lying land and roads is expected this evening 23/11/24 and overnight. Further rainfall which could be heavy at times is forecast today, overnight and tomorrow morning. We expect river levels to remain sensitive to the heavier bands of rain. Our staff have been checking and clearing trash screens and we are monitoring the situation. Go to the 'River and Sea levels in England' webpage for current river levels. Avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses. This message will be updated tomorrow, 24/11/24, or as the situation changes.

Flood alert area: Flagham Brook, The Swill Brook, The Hankerton Brook, The Hykemeres Stream, The Derry Brook and The River Key.
